Beer Hops

Beer hops are used for flavoring and a stability agent which results in usually a bitter, tangy flavor. Most people know hops as what puts the "bitter" taste into beer. Hops are cone-shaped brachts grown on vines and contain bitter acides called lupulins. They add both bitterness and aroma to the beer as well as act as a preservative.
