Considered to be the highest quality, these vines once made wines of excellence, now they make wines that are regal with notable complexity. It’s all due to the amount of sunlight soak the vine is exposed to. Older vines have a thinner canopy causing it to produce less grape bunches. The resulting wines exhibit a higher concentration of fruit, softer tannins and are complimented by good acidity.
