36 lb Lug of Sagrantino (red wine) grapes grown in the Contra Costa region of California. Originally, the grapes were only grown in Umbria, Italy.

Sagratino produces a full bodied, deep ruby colored high alcohol wine with a remarkable tannin structure. Exhibits wild fruit, truffle and blackberry characteristics. Known as the 'Holy Wine', this variety has historically been unavailable due to low vineyard yields. When blended with Sangiovese and Merlot it makes the wonderful 'Montefalco DOC', and if Cabernet Sauvignon is added the desirable 'Montefalco Rossi' results.
